Janice Jadlow

Janice (Wickstead) Jadlow, 68, passed away September 20, 2014, in Allen, TX. She was born December 4, 1945, in Glen Ridge, NJ. She graduated from Butler High School in Riverdale, NJ, in 1963, after which she attended Miami University (Ohio) where she majored in mathematics and minored in economics. After the receipt of her bachelor’s degree, she attended the University of Virginia where she earned a master’s degree in economics. She met her future husband, Joe Jadlow, at UVA’s campus while both were graduate students there. Janice and Joe were married on August, 30, 1969, in Chester, NJ. Following her graduation from UVA, she worked as an economist in the banking markets section of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC. Janice received her doctorate in economics from OSU in 1977 in the area of international finance and trade and subsequently completed a post doc in finance. In 1984, Janice joined the OSU Department of Finance where she taught international financial management. In 1990, she was appointed department head, a position she held for 16 years, becoming the first female administrator in the OSU School of Business. Her interests included reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Janice and her husband Joe served as covice presidents of the OSU Emeriti Association from 2012 until 2014. Janice is survived by her husband, two daughters, and several grandchildren.
