Bernice Koepel 

November 25, 2014

Bernice Koepel, 80, passed away on November 25, 2014, in Stillwater. She was born on March 25, 1934, at Olivia, MN. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota, her M.S. degree from Northern Colorado University, and her Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. Before coming to OSU, she taught home economics in high school and at Minnesota State College in Mankato. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association and the Oklahoma Dietetic Association, having served as president of the later. Over the years, she received a number of honors and awards, including the Distinguished Dietician of the Year, Educator of the Year in Didactic Program in Dietetics for Oklahoma, and Outstanding Teacher in the OSU College of Home Economics.
