Jimmie Lea Boggs

March 24, 2015

Jimmie Lea Boggs passed away March 24, 2015, in Indianapolis. She and her husband, James, long-time Vice President for Academic Affairs at Oklahoma State, lived in Stillwater from 1940 until 2004. He predeceased her in August 2009. Lea was a patron of the arts in addition to being a talented artist. At one time she was the proprietor of an interior design shop in Stillwater. Lea was a founder and board member of Friends of Music and The Arts and Humanities Council. In addition, she was president of Lahoma Club. She was also a member of the PEO Chapter in Stillwater as well as in the choir at Stillwater Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two children, Jan and David, and their spouses, and three grandchildren.
