Beverly Bale

Beverly K. Bale, 88, was born on December 6, 1928, in Dewey, OK, to Leon and Ruth Roberts. She passed away on April 12, 2017. Beverly and John Bale were married on June 6, 1949, in Tacoma, WA, shortly before John shipped out for military service in the Korean War. To this union, two children were born, John Michael Bale (Benita) and Karen Bale-Brown (David). Beverly grew up in Kentucky and Oklahoma and graduated from Dewey High School and Oklahoma State University. She was a recognized historical writer and had several articles published that documented the events surrounding the Korean War. Some of her genealogical research was accepted by the Library of Congress. She was a frequent volunteer at Stillwater Medical Center and a local hospice. Among her memberships were the Daughters of the American Revolution. Several of her interests were square dancing, spending time at the Bale Cabin in Colorado, and gardening. Her landscaping talents were noteworthy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother (DeWayne), and her sister (Betty Roberts Lytle). She is survived by her husband, her two children and their spouses, five grandchildren, three grandchildren-in law, and five great granddaughters. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
