Ralph D. Brumfield, 98, was born on November 23, 1918, in Yale, OK, to Harry and Lorena Brumfield. He passed away in Pawnee, OK, on February 7, 2017. Ralph and Betty Jo Beldon were married in Sapulpa, OK on June 21, 1941. She predeceased him in 1975. On May 20, 1977, Ralph and Nancy Stewart Evans were married, and she predeceased him in 2010. For four years, Ralph served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He earned the bachelor’s degree in drafting from Oklahoma Agriculture and Mechanical College in 1950. At the time of his retirement in 1986, Ralph was an associate professor in the OSU School of Mechanical Design and Technology. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, his two wives, his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Marvin Murphy, and his grandson-in-law, Curtis Lazenby. Ralph is survived by his sister, Marie Spurgeon, Ririe, Idaho, and his adopted son, Steven Brumfield, Stillwater, as well as two grandchildren, David (Christine) Murphy and Cynthia Murphy Lazenby, and by two great grandchildren.
