Robert Hendrickson

Robert L. Henrickson, passed away on July 4, 2017, at age 97. Bob served in the US military for 20 years, after which he worked at Oklahoma State University for 40 years. Bob and his wife, Alberta, were the parents of three children: Sondra Garvey and Gary Henrikson, both of whom live in Florida, and Cherlyn Sunflower, Tulsa. During his tenure at OSU, Bob was recognized for developing the master’s and doctoral degrees in food and meat science. In addition, he served as a scientific advisor for many businesses. Bob helped establish two Kiwanis clubs and was a founding member and the first chairperson (now president) of the OSU Emeriti Association. Bob was predeceased by his wife. Survivors include his three children, two granddaughters, Kimberly Beasley and Krissy Belayev, and six great grandchildren.
