(Wilma) Ann Waughtal, 80, was born to Ruth Helen Davis and Nathaniel Davis in Claremore, OK, on October 10, 1936. She passed away in Stillwater on June 29, 2017. She was the oldest of three daughters born to this union. Her younger siblings are Judy Acree, Tulsa, and Nancy Jean Stephens, Jonesboro, AR. Ann and Jerry Waghtal were married on August 24, 1956. They are the parents of two children, Andrew, Troy, IL, and Malinda, Stillwater. Ann earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Oklahoma State University College of Education, and she began her teaching career in Stillwater in 1975. During her teaching career, she taught in two of Stillwater’s elementary schools. Her dedication to the education field prompted her to continue taking higher education courses. Following her retirement from teaching, she began serving as a supervisor of student teachers for the OSU College of Education. She is survived by her husband, her two children and sister, as well as by several cousins.
