Donna Maree Ring Craighead, 86, was born to William H. and Gladys M. Ring in Buffalo, OK, on May 22, 1932, and passed away on June 4, 2018, in Richardson, TX. She graduated from Sedgwick (KS) high school in 1950 and from Oklahoma Baptist University in December 1953. She then became Dean of Women at Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Miami, OK. Donna and Max R. Craighead were married on June 4, 1954 in Buffalo, OK, after which time they lived in San Antonio, TX, where Max completed his military commitment. While in San Antonio, Donna taught physical education and later taught in Ponca City, OK. During the time Max was working on a degree at Oklahoma A&M, Donna worked as a secretary in the A&M Agronomy Department. Later, Donna was a substitute teacher for Stillwater Public Schools for several years. Donna and Max were the parents of daughter Melanie (Wes) Moore, and son Todd. She is also survived by two granddaughters, as well as by sister Gwenda Smith and brother Spencer. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and by an infant daughter.
