Martha Pass, 96, passed away in Stillwater, OK, on May 9, 2018. She was born on July 28, 1921, near Corn, OK, to Henry James and Anna Leppke Warkentin. She was the seventh of nine children in her family. Following graduation from Corn High School, she attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford where she obtained a cosmetology license. In 1942, she moved to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma A&M, where she majored in business and worked in the Bursar’s Office where she later worked full time. On May 12, 1949, she and Hartwill (Bill) Pass were married after he completed his master’s degree in agronomy. Bill and Martha were the parents of two daughters, Barbara Kay Pass and Joyce Pass Taylor. Both Bill and Martha were avid OSU sports fans, and Martha participated in the Bicentennial Star Extension Club and won numerous ribbons at the Payne County Fair. Following Bill’s passing in 1990, Martha enjoyed traveling to several foreign lands. In addition to her parents and her husband, Martha was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Kay and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Joyce as well as many nieces and nephews.
