Dillwith, Jack

Jack Dillwith, 74, was born on August 18, 1947, in Tonapah, NV, to Earl Allen Dillwith and Allice Schoustra Dillwith, and passed away in Stillwater, OK, on November 14, 2021.  Following high-school graduation, he attended the University of California, San Luis Obispo, graduating in 1969.  He subsequently received a master's degree in 1978 from St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX, and then a Ph.D., from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1980.  Jack and Lynda Joyce Holton were married on April 7, 1973, in San Antonio.  Jack served in the US Air Force through April 7, 1976, after which he was employed as an assistant professor at Oklahoma State University, teaching in the Entomology Department.  He retired in 2015.  Jack was active in leadership positions in Boy Scouts for more than 20 years, both at the local  level and in the larger Boy Scout organization.  Jack was active in the Stillwater Rock and Mineral Club, serving as vice-president.  Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.  Survivors include his siblings, Thomas and William, son, Earl, (Katrina) and two grandsons.
