Jack Fryrear

Jack Fryrear, 93, was born in August, 1923, in Blairstown, MO, to Fay Cornelius and Vera Marticia Fryrear. He passed away in Oklahoma City on March 22, 2017. Jack and Betty Jean Bowling were married on October 16, 1946, in Tuttle, OK. To this union, one daughter, Charla, was born. Following Jack’s graduation from Tuttle High School, he joined the US Army, and served with distinction in World War II. Following his discharge from the Army, he attended Okmulgee Tech School from which he earned an associate degree in architectural drafting. Following the receipt of his associate’s degree, he began working in the Agriculture Engineering Department at Oklahoma State University, using his drafting skills and completing research projects on farm structures. He later received the bachelor’s degree from OSU. Jack retired from OSU in 1984. Jack is survived by his wife, Betty, their daughter Charla (Mike Lowery), his sister (Charlene Stinchcomb), his brother and sister-in-law (J.W. and Phyllis), and his sister-in-law (Barbara Patton), as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his half sister and her husband (Lois and Alan Kanoy), and a sister-in-law, Jean Fryrear.
