Phyllis M. Mayberry, 88, was born September 15, 1929, in Stillwater, OK, to James and Verna Webster and passed away in Tulsa on August 6, 2018. Following graduation from Stillwater High School, she attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in home economics. Phyllis and James Mayberry were married on June 10, 1949, in Stillwater, living in several locations in Oklahoma before returning to Stillwater in 1979. Phyllis taught elementary school as well as taught home economics in public schools. Phyllis was an active member of her church as well as held memberships in several Stillwater social organizations. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jim, and a brother James. She is survived by her children: Jim (Jan) Mayberry, Susan (Don) Adkison, and Scott (Kris) Mayberry, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a soon-to-beborn great-great grandchild, as well as by a niece and two nephews.
