Aubra Wilson

Aubra L. Wilson, 89, was born to Lonnie and Hattie Wilson on March 21, 1929, in Clinton, OK, and passed away on September 22, 2018, in Stillwater, OK. Aubra married Floretta Mintz on July 27, 1951, in Clinton. They were the parents of two children, Kevin and Kimberly. Kevin passed away in 1977. Aubra completed his BS in Animal Husbandry from Oklahoma A&M in 1952 and his MS in Rural Adult Education from OSU. From 1952 to 1954, Aubra served in the United States Marine Corps at El Toro Marine Air Base in Santa Ana, CA. In 1954, the Wilsons returned to Oklahoma were Aubra served as an OSU Extension Agent in Tillman, Beaver, and Woodward counties before retiring in 1985. He was active in the Oklahoma Association of County Extension Agents, serving as vice president and president. He received the Distinguished Service Award at the state and national levels. He chaired the State Fair and Shows Committee and held leadership roles in the several cattle associations. During retirement, Aubra and Floretta did extensive traveling throughout the US and Canada. Aubra is survived by his daughter, Kimberly, (Darrell Sadler). He was preceded in death by his wife, Floretta, son, Kevin, his parents, and three sisters and three brothers.
