Paul Richardson, 86, was born on December 29, 1934, in Covington, KY, to Charles and Hilda Richardson, and passed away on February 15, 2021.  He married Alice Mistler on May 3, 1958.  To this union, one daughter, Ruth Anne, was born.  Paul graduated from the University of Kentucky where he completed  the bachelor's degree in secondary education (biology).  He taught high school biology from 1957-1962.  From 1962-1966, he attended the Universities of North Carolina and Cincinnati where he received several master's degrees.  In 1968, he completed the Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Cincinnati.  He began his career at OSU in 1968 and taught in the Department of Botany and Microbiology until he retired in 1992.  Following retirement, he and Alice attended a number of OLLI classes.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.  He is survived by his wife, Alice, his daughter, Ruth Fillmore (Kirk), two sisters, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
