Earl Ferguson

Earl John Ferguson, 93 was born on June 30, 1925, to David John and Edna Mae (Carter) Ferguson in Dallas, TX, and passed away on June 18, 2019, in Tulsa, OK. Following high school graduation in Dallas, he attended Texas A&M and graduated with a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering. From Oklahoma State University, he received his master’s degree and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. On February 14, 1946, Jewel Annette Fisher and Earl were married in Ft. Worth. Earl was a long-time professor of Industrial Engineering at OSU where he also served on the Faculty Council and the Athletic Council. He also taught at Notre Dame for one year as well as on military bases in Spain, Turkey, German, and Italy. Earl also served as the president of the National Materials Handling Institute and served as deacon at the First Baptist Church in Stillwater. Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jewel, and his son Johnny Ferguson. He is survived by his son Randy (Kimberly) of Ft. Worth, TX; and Daniel (Teresa) of Stillwater. Earl is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as by his siblings, Doris Binford, David Ferguson, and Rosaland Ferguson.
